What is wrong with TSLOAD - dealing with Date formats

the raw data file is in this format - 1/28/2017; 1/14/2017

the tsload command has --date_time_format '%m/%d/%Y'

The target column is declared as "DATETIME"

The TSLOAD is always so buggy :)

line no=87789 ;Reason: Conversion failed, error=Can not convert "Period" to date using date format "%m/%d/%Y", data column=3, schema column=Period

  • Lokesh - it's not clear from your question if you have two dates or not.  Is "1/28/2017; 1/14/2017" all in the same column?  Because that is two dates and would not match your pattern, which would be expecting just "1/28/2017", for example.

Also, I'd suggest having this column be a DATE and not DATETIME if you aren't going to be putting times in the data.  It will make things easier with formatting.
