Print or download entire pinboard

Has anyone figured out how to print or download an entire pinboard that has multiple pins on it (versus doing each one separately - painful!)

Thank you,

Karen

  • Our new PDF export will be released with 5.3, which is in our release pipeline now. With this release, you will be able export a pinboard in "pinboard format" (multiple visualizations per page, formatted like your pinboard), or one vis per page. In the case of one vis per page, you can select which visualizations to export and your headlines will be grouped with multiple headlines on a page.

We are really pleased to release this and would love your feedback once you get a chance to give it a try!

  • ThoughtSpot provides the ability to download a pinboard to a PDF document, which you can then print.  This is a group level privilege, i.e. it can be enabled or disabled at a group level, so if you don't have a download option in the action menu on your pinboard, you need to speak to your internal ThoughtSpot administrator to request that privilege.

  • Thanks forgot about that and remembered TS is working on cleaning up the PDF print so that it doesn't spread across multiple pages.

  • Glad to hear TS is cleaning up the PDF print to not spread across multiple pages - is there any further information about this?

  • Margie Roginski This is wonderful.  What is the ETA of this release?

  • Kimberly D Reoh This will be released very soon, with 5.3. You should see this out in the next few weeks!

There are some additional final touches that are in the 5.3.1 release which will follow on the heels (3-4 weeks after 5.3.1). The additional 5.3.1 features include branding (logo optionally on title page and/or footer) and the ability to specify exactly which pages to export in the one-viz-per-page mode.

Thanks for asking and I'd love to hear your feedback once you start using it!

  • Hi Kimberly, yes, the new pdf export is available with the 5.3 release! 5.3.1 will have some additional enhancements related to branding of the pdf and also the ability to selectively choose which visualizations to export when exporting one viz per page. You should see 5.3.1 released in the next couple of weeks.

  • Margie Roginski can you upgrade from version 5.2.2. To version 5.3.1 directly? Or do you need to go to version 5.3 first?

  • Marc Price I believe you can! According to the supported upgrade paths:

If you are running one of the following versions, you can upgrade to the 5.3 release directly: 5.2.x to 5.3

  • Marc Price You can also go directly to 5.3.1, without going to 5.3 first.

  • Curious - in 5.3 or 5.3.1 will we be able to specify the pinboard pdf layout for scheduled pinboards?

  • Hi  Ashley Otto Yes, you will also be able to choose pdf layout options for your scheduled pinboards! This is available in both 5.3 and 5.3.1, but you will see the additional branding and choice-of-visualization options only in 5.3.1.

  • Does anyone know if there's a capability to download a few windows of a pinboard? Not the whole thing?
